We hope you’re all having a nice holiday season together with your friends and families. This time of the year we all take the opportunity to relax and focus on the people around us. No matter where you are, you’re welcome to join our Minecraft server any time and spend some time with the rest of us.
A big Thank You to Everyone!
Without a doubt, this has been the greatest year in Cavetale history, and it’s all thanks to each and every one of you players. Not only has overall attendance gone up significantly, so that we had to upgrade our hardware, optimize many plugins, and refurbish all mini games to accommodate a higher player count. You also delivered some of our greatest build events, with many detailed creations to explore. They will be remembered for a very long time, and are in fact still in use right now!
All this encouraged us make an extra effort to provide you all with a better Minecraft experience than ever before. This year we added the in-game tutorial which a talking pet guides you through. There are literally hundreds of custom items with their own textures, many brand new or improved mini games, and an entire friends system. While there is even more worth mentioning, the heart and soul of the Cavetale are our events.
Our popular weekend events are known, but every now and then, we set up something big that goes on for weeks, and this year we took it to the next level! We were particularly proud of the Halloween event, which for the first time ever, had dozens of individual mini challenges for you to find in the houses you built and collect rewards from, in particular the musical instruments. Just two months later, in December, the Advent Calendar followed the same principle, once again in a build world we all built together.
Happy New Year!
The rest of the year will be mostly business as usual. We will have our regular events. We’re still waiting for the 1.18 software to be stable enough for us to upgrade the main survival server, so we can all enjoy the depths of the Caves & Cliffs update. We keep working on more cool features to keep the game fresh and entertain you with. Beyond that, Cavetale will be turning 10 years very soon, so stay tuned for that!
See you in Minecraft!
